1. What is Biblical Counseling?

Biblical counseling is just that! Counseling that uses the Bible as its sole source of guidance and direction for change in our lives. Through the Bible we see how God desires us to live our lives and how the Holy Spirit is the agent of change in our lives through Jesus Christ.

(Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16)

2. Why should I believe that something written a long time ago can help me with my problems today?

Despite what the great thinkers of today may say, the struggles and challenges of today are not new. We can see similar challenges that faced the men of old. As King Solomon said: "there is nothing new under the sun." (Lamentations 3:22-23; 2 Peter 1:3)

3. How does it work?

• You meet with a certified counselor once a week for about an hour.
• Sessions typically last from 9-13 weeks.
• There will be opportunity for discussion, instruction form the Word of God, and there will be homework for you to do between sessions.
• The goal is not to solve all your problems, but to teach you how to find the answers in the Bible.

4. What does it cost?

There is no charge for this service. It is a ministry of our church. It is our desire to help you have and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
